GRAPHIC POTS

21 September - 26 October 2019

Our autumn show, ‘Graphic Pots’, (21 September - 26 October 2019) mixes UK and international work with some exciting new introductions here in Oxford in the form of works by Australian/UK artist Stephen Bird and South African artist Hylton Nel. Closer to home we are delighted to have sourced a few examples of the late John Piper’s ceramic work who has left such a legacy here in Oxford College collections in the form of stained glass, paintings and prints and who was one of the early catalysts behind the founding of Modern Art Oxford through his pioneering work at the Bear Lane Gallery in the 1950s and 1960s. Contemporary artists include Bruce McLean; who, like Piper has worked with Fulham Pottery, Philip Eglin, Paul Scott and Stephen Dixon.
