This show features recent acquisitions which celebrate a golden era of Studio Pottery. Some highlights include a group of very early Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada works, a lovely group of Katharine Pleydell Bouverie’s ash glazed pots (many of which came from the Casson Gallery originally), three large scale ash glazed vessels by Janet Leach, two early vases by Richard Batterham; and a wonderful stoneware bowl with trailed lines by Helen Pincombe (originally exhibited at Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam in 'English Studio Ceramics’, 1960).
